Pre-Conference Student Symposium

Pre-Conference Student Symposium

May 16, 2023 | 8:30 am - 12:30 pm

Registration: $15* or waived with conference registration

The Pre-Conference Student Symposium is designed to give undergraduate, graduate, and professional students the opportunity to discover multiple career pathways in the antimicrobial resistance field. Students will have the chance to listen to 15-minute talks that cover human medicine, veterinary medicine, crop science, aquaculture, artificial intelligence, bacteriophage therapy, and industry. This diverse array of speakers will then have a panel discussion where students can ask any questions they have about these specific topics or more general discussions.

A very important part of science is the ability to collaborate and establish connections with other scientists. The attendees of this symposium will have the opportunity to network and have more personal discussion with the panelists of their choosing during a working lunch.  Food will be provided and is included in the registration fee. The Pre-Conference Student Symposium is a unique opportunity for students to gain a deeper perspective into antimicrobial resistance and have in-depth conversations with experts in the field.
