Amy Powell is an Extension Animal Science Specialist at Iowa State University. Her major focus is the development and execution of meaningful, science-based educational opportunities for youth and volunteer audiences. She has written over 60 educational lessons on animal science. Amy is responsible for implementing ten major educational events each year that reach over 500 youth annually. Amy and her husband, Carl Pederson have two children and live in Ames, IA. They also have a small row crop operation.
