I am an Assistant Professor at the Department of Medicine at the University of Florida. My research focuses on the identification of emergence and transmission of multidrug-resistant organisms (MDROs) in the hospital setting and the design and evaluation of bacteriophages (i.e. phages) that can target MDROs in cancer patients. My laboratory also works on the identification of phage-based predictors of bacterial infections in the gut of cancer patients.
