Dr. Christina Sarubbi is the Manager of Clinical Services at UNC Health RexDr. Sarubbi earned her undergraduate and pharmacy degrees from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and also completed her MBA from the UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School. She completed her pharmacy residency at the University of California, San Diego Health System. Since completing her residency, Dr. Sarubbi worked as an Antibiotic Stewardship pharmacist at Duke University Hospital prior to joining UNC in late 2019.  While at Duke, she contributed to research involving the evaluation of a pharmacist-led penicillin allergy assessment program as well as the influence of a reported penicillin allergy on mortality in methicillin-susceptible Staphylococcus aureus bacteremia. Her professional interests include medication safety, quality improvement, and Antibiotic Stewardship. Dr. Sarubbi continues to serve as an active member of the Rex Antibiotic Stewardship team and completes penicillin allergy assessments and de-labeling regularly.
