Member Spotlight Recap - NIAMRRE Operations Center Roundtable

NIAMRRE kicked off 2023 with an Operations Center Roundtable for the January Member Spotlight. Taking a bit of a different format, we utilized a zoom meeting which allow for more interaction between the audience and the NIAMRRE staff. As part of the roundtable, we shared highlights from 2022. Some highlights included:
  • 2022 Annual Conference: our first in person conference was hosted by the University of Nebraska – Lincoln, May 16-18 and was attended by 87 people from across academia, industry, and government.
  • Interprofessional Education (IPE): we launched our inaugural cohort of One Health AMR IPE at the conference. The cohort continued to work within their teams throughout the summer and fall, culminating with their capstone projects at the Fall Symposium.
  • Multiple NIAMRRE led grant proposals were funded, as well as many of our members working together to submit successful proposals.
  • Growth in membership from large industry, start-up industry, and academia, as well as affiliate members. Also, more involvement with individuals in the federal government.
  • Launched our learning management system where we will be housing various courses, resources, and our One Health AMR Learning Outcomes.
