On Thursday, July 25, 2024 from 9-10 am ET, the House Budget Committee is scheduled to hold a bipartisan Member Roundtable entitled, "Threats to Modern Medicine: Examining the Budgetary Effects of Antimicrobial Resistance and the Broken Antibiotic Development Pipeline." The Member Roundtable will be a closed door session, and will include panelists from the Congressional Budget Office, CARB-X, AMR Action Fund, and the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Watch for subsequent press releases on the Roundtable and for stakeholder groups to engage on potential next steps for policy solutions (for example, on legislation such as the PASTEUR Act).
