The National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE) announced today that Jazzy McCroskey has joined its team as Communications and Integrated Marketing Lead. In this role, McCroskey will be responsible for driving NIAMRRE’s membership marketing, public relations activity, social media engagement, and communications in support of the institution’s strategic plan.

“We are delighted to welcome Jazzy in a role that is vital to serving our members and building relationships with organizations that will drive positive change for the fight against antimicrobial resistance,” shares NIAMRRE Executive Director, Paul Plummer. “We have made great strides this year in our efforts to accelerate and synergize efforts in the AMR community, and Jazzy’s experience will strengthen our ability to serve our members.”

McCroskey is an experienced marketing and communications leader with a proven track record in the financial sector, the sports and entertainment arena, and the nonprofit space. Most recently, she led communications strategies for the Federal Home Loan Bank of Des Moines. “Research, education, collaboration, and advocacy move the study of antimicrobial resistance ahead,” continues Plummer. “This is an exciting time to influence our future. Jazzy is a creative, forward thinker—she has the skills to lead and serve.”

In addition to McCroskey and Plummer, NIAMRRE’s members and affiliates are supported by Member Development Specialist, Erica Hellmich; Associate Director of Operations, Melissa Miller, and Associate Director of External Relations, Kris Johansen. Membership is available to academic, industry, and affiliate stakeholders. Applications are accepted year-round for organizations dedicated to advancing the One Health approach—a collaborative approach with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
