Dr Brett O'Brien is an associate director on the Strategic Development and Innovation team at Merck Animal Health. She is swine veterinarian involved in finding new product opportunities for the swine business. She is also heavily involved in post-licensing and pre-licensing project research. She has been employed with Merck since 2016. She was previously employed with Zoetis (2012-2016) and PFFJ/Hormel (2006-2012). She completed her undergraduate degree at Princeton University with a concentration in animal behavior, a double masters (nutrition and animal science) from North Carolina State University, and her degree in veterinary medicine from the University of Pennsylvania's School of Veterinary Medicine. Passions include disease prevention programs, field research, PRRSV, and animal welfare.
