The National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE) is pleased to announce Resilient Biotics as a new startup industry member.

“We use a One Health approach to address AMR through cross-sector engagement and coordinated action,” said NIAMRRE Executive Director, Dr. Paul Plummer. “The ability to decrease or replace antibiotics in the animal health industry by using live biotherapeutics to treat or prevent disease is a big step forward in preserving the ability to use antibiotics for generations to come.”

Resilient Biotics joins NIAMRRE’s ten academic member institutions including Iowa State University, Kansas State University, North Carolina State University, The Ohio State University, UC Davis Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Iowa, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; three affiliate members: Farm Foundation, RTI International, and the University of Iowa’s State Hygienic Laboratory; and four startup industry members: Distynct, FBB Biomed, Innoceleris, and Sublime Stericeuticals.

Membership is available to academic, industry (commodity groups, pharma and health organizations, and retailers), affiliate (government agencies, nonprofits, and member associations), and startup stakeholders interested in cross-sector engagement to address global AMR challenges. Applications are accepted year-round for organizations dedicated to advancing the One Health approach—a collaborative methodology to achieve optimal health outcomes between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
