The National Institute of Antimicrobial Resistance Research and Education (NIAMRRE), a member organization that drives cross-sector engagement and coordinated action to combat the global health challenge of antimicrobial resistance (AMR), is pleased to announce EveryPig as a new startup industry member.
“We unite resources, organize people, and coordinate ideas that help address AMR using a One Health approach,” said NIAMRRE Executive Director, Dr. Paul Plummer. “Improving the delivery speed of animal health information that veterinarians and field managers rely on translates into a faster awareness of the condition of the herd, which means less antibiotic use—a benefit for people, animals, plants, and our shared environment.”
EveryPig joins NIAMRRE’s ten academic member institutions including Iowa State University, Kansas State University, North Carolina State University, The Ohio State University, UC Davis Veterinary Medicine, University of Florida, University of Georgia, University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University of Iowa, the University of Nebraska at Lincoln; three affiliate members: Farm Foundation, RTI International, and the University of Iowa’s State Hygienic Laboratory; and five startup industry members: Distynct, FBB Biomed, Innoceleris, Resilient Biotics, and Sublime Stericeuticals.
Membership is available to academic, industry (commodity groups, pharma and health organizations, and retailers), affiliate (government agencies, nonprofits, and member associations), and startup stakeholders interested in cross-sector engagement to address global AMR challenges. Applications are accepted year-round for organizations dedicated to advancing the One Health approach—a collaborative methodology to achieve optimal health outcomes between people, animals, plants, and their shared environment.
